Buddy and I are finishing up our to-do lists this week before we head to Scotland so things are a little crazy around the farm right now but I’m SO excited to share this wedding with you!

Lauren and Philip’s gorgeous wedding was in Blowing Rock, NC. It couldn’t have been a more appropriate location to photograph before our trip because all weekend the Boone/Blowing Rock area reminded me of the highlands of Scotland! While we were there, I learned that they call that regtion of North Caroline the “High Country” so it makes total sense that it resembles the “Highlands”!!  It was overcast, misty, and cool and it made for the most romantic backdrop for a wedding.

We started the day at the beautiful Chetola Resort and then we headed to the Blue Ridge Parkway for portraits! We went to an overlook that had the most gorgeous view and the rolling fog and mist made us all feeling like we were in a scene of Lord of the Rings! It was so epic!

I have loved getting to know Lauren and Philip through this stage of their lives and I couldn’t be happier for them! I pray that the Lord continues to bless them as they enter this sweet stage of marriage! AND speaking of blessings, these past few weeks have been a especially exciting for Philip because he got a married to the sweetest girl ever, went to Hawaii on his honeymoon, AND he found out that he passed his boards! Well done, Philip and congratulations to the newlyweds!!
